DAY OF NON-VIOLENCE AND PEACE (30th January)
CEIP LOS GUINDOS
The "School Day of Non-violence and Peace" is held on January 30th every year, on the anniversary of the martyrdom in 1948 of Mahatma Gandhi, the great apostle of non-violence. Last Friday we celebrated this day at our school. Children made drawings and a big posters in colours to symbolized a world in colours, a world in peace. They wrote message of peace, a small sketch was perfomed, they played cooperative games. We had our assembly in the playground where children danced and sang songs of peace, some children talked about their countries and our languages assistants from EEUU, Ireland and Filand (Corey, Ashling and Elli) talked of their feelings of peace.
